Minnesota Celebrate Saint Patrick
On Saturday, March 13, 2010 the Friends of Saint Patrick Minnesota Chapter plan to extend their outreach service to Little Sisters of the Poor in Saint Paul, Minnesota. In the spirit of caring and reconciliation the Chapter Board and members will share their time assisting residents in the dining hall, serving and visiting. FOSP members will accompany the residents into the auditorium to view a program including a visual presentation on Northern Ireland, the Friends of Saint Patrick Downpatrick Centre and a musical presentation of Irish music and dance from Norah Carroll a 2008 YA accompanied by her father and some his musical friends. Milwaukee Celebrate Saint Patricks Day
The Friends of St Patrick-Milwaukee Chapter, in partnership with Hunger Task Force and in cooperation with the Shamrock Club, spearheaded an effort to collect food donations at the Shamrock Club Parade, March 13th and The Bluemound Businessman's Parade on the same day. The Friends successfully put the call out to have parade-goers bring non-perishable food items to the parade for donations. Volunteers walked the parade route with grocery carts collecting the donated food items.
