New Minnesotan Friends Project for March
The Friends of Saint Patrick - MN Chapter is recruiting volunteers to help with a community project "in the spirit of Saint Patrick"! Here are the details:
Project: We'll be working with students from the University of St. Thomas to help clean, paint and organize a new (large!) office space for Ampersand Families, a nonprofit that helps teens in foster care find permanent homes and families. Volunteers are also asked to bring potluck contributions for a lunch that day for all the volunteers.
Date: Saturday, March 7th (It's never too early to start celebrating Saint Patrick!)
Time: 9:45 am to 2:00 pm
Location: The offices of Ampersand Families, located in Northeast Minneapolis
If you would like to volunteer for this event, please e-mail FSP-MN Board member Debe Erickson at deberi@charter.net by TUESDAY, MARCH 3RD. She'll send you an e-mail confirming all the details.
Friends of Saint Patrick - MN Chapter is proud to be helping Ampersand Families. Their mission is to recruit and support permanent families for older youth, and champion practices in adoption and permanency that restore belonging, dignity and hope. Visit their website at: www.ampersandfamilies.org
We hope you'll join us on March 7th in the spirit of Saint Patrick!
