The Saint Patrick Centre in Downpatrick and Downe University of the Third Age have come together to launch a series of Autumn Cultural Lectures, through September to November, which takes another look historical periods and characters.The series begins on the 13^th September with Dr Ann McVeigh examining the life and work of Vere Foster whose charity and encouragement for educating the poor created our modern educational system.
