Hon. Friend Becomes Archbishop of New York
We are delighted to report that Honorary Friend Archbishop Timothy Dolan is Pope Benedict XVI’s choice as the 13th Roman Catholic Archbishop of New York.
Archbishop Dolan has been influential in helping develop Chapters of the growing Friends of Saint Patrick organisation which promotes the Centre and the legacy of Patrick in North America. |  |
New Minnesotan Friends Project for March
The Friends of Saint Patrick - MN Chapter is recruiting volunteers to help with a community project "in the spirit of Saint Patrick"! Here are the details:
Project: We'll be working with students from the University of St. Thomas to help clean, paint and organize a new (large!) office space for Ampersand Families, a nonprofit that helps teens in foster care find permanent homes and families. Volunteers are also asked to bring potluck contributions for a lunch that day for all the volunteers.
Date: Saturday, March 7th (It's never too early to start celebrating Saint Patrick!)
Time: 9:45 am to 2:00 pm
Location: The offices of Ampersand Families, located in Northeast Minneapolis
