Afternoon – Saint Patrick’s Way Downpatrick Camino and Lunch

Meet at Saint Patrick Centre at 12 noon, see Exhibition and get transport to Saul for Lunch.
The afternoon is the longer part of the Saint Patrick’s Way Walk and requires a good level of fitness.
After lunch at The Barn, Saul, stroll to Saint Patrick’s RC Church to see Saint Patrick’s Altar Stone and discover outstanding Harry Clarke stained glass windows. Walk to the top of Slieve Patrick and see the tallest statue of Saint Patrick in the World before exploring country lanes leading to the first healing wells in Ireland at Struell.
Return to Downpatrick to see the mosaic shrine to Saint Patrick in Saint Patrick’s Church and complete your walk at the Medieval Cathedral of Down and Saint Patrick’s Grave.
Finish at Denvir’s Coaching Inn for coffee.
