History of Saint Patrick
It tells the story of saint Patrick from his kidnapping to his escaping from Ireland and his return to bring Christianity to Ireland. There is a walk through and a very interesting visual helicopter flight round the Christian sites in the north of Ireland and sorry but he didn't get rid of the snakes and the colour of Ireland is blue not green.

TripadvisorDon’t miss!
This is a wonderful place to visit and, importantly, to begin a visit to the area. The Centre should be considered as the place in County Down to begin a visit to the area. Enjoy all it has to offer including the cafe and shop and then go from there to experience the Saint Patrick trail and other local attractions.

TripAdvisorInteresting visit
This centre does a good job of telling the story of St Patrick. It also houses a nice gift shop, a lovely cafe and once you walk up the hill through the garden, you can visit St Patrick's grave and the cathedral, which is beautiful. Since my ancestors came from Armagh, close by, I imagine they made the pilgrimage to the tomb of St. Patrick back in the mid nineteenth century so it had special meaning to me.

I had never really thought about St. Patrick before and I learned so much in such an easy, well laid out way. Very interesting audio visual presentation so it was easy to follow!!

TripadvisorAwesome
This was a highlight on our group pilgrimage, Dr. Tim Campbell and his staff were very accommodating and the two hour tour of the Centre and surrounding area was exceptionally well done - so good we will bring our next group back here.
The center video of the Life of St Patrick was very well worth watching. Buying from the shop was great - genuine local quality items.

TripadvisorInformative and welcoming visitor centre with great cafe
With car park at the front door, and Downpatrick Cathedral with the site of St Patrick's grave up the hill behind it, this is well worth a visit.
Good for all ages interactive experience tells you all about St Patrick's life and influence.
There is an excellent cafe serving tasty food made on the premises - from cakes to cooked lunches.

TripadvisorMakes the story of Saint Patrick come alive
This is a really nice Center devoted to telling the story of Saint Patrick and his impact on Ireland. The video presentation is nicely done and the Center director Dr Campbell is a fun person to chat with.
In addition, the Center has a well stocked gift shop and the upstairs restaurant serves some nice food.
While in the city, I would also recommend a stop at the Down Cathedral to hear the story of the church and to see the memorial grave site for Saint
